What is Inline Hockey?

Inline hockey is a very fast-paced and free-flowing 4 vs 4 game. It is considered a contact sport but body checking and Fighting is prohibited. There are no blue lines or defensive zones which means there are no offsides or icings that can occur during game play. This along with fewer players on the rink allows for faster games, and more player involvement.

League Schedule

All division schedules are posted  for ages 14U, 12U, 10U, 8U

Mighty Mites (3-6yrs) is a training and development program for boys and girls learning to skate, pass, shoot and learn the basics of the game. It is played side to side, not end to end, which helps youngsters touch the puck often and have more interaction within the elements of the game.

Program Director - Steve Perkins

Steve was born and raised here in Lethbridge, Alberta and has always loved this city immensely. He has a loving and supportive wife, Kerri, and together they are raising two beautiful daughters, Aviana and Brielle, and their amazing son, Easton. Steve has always been an avid sports fan and loves playing all styles of sports, but his love for hockey also makes it his passion. Steve has been playing Inline Hockey for over 20 years starting back with Lethbridge Roller Rad in 1997. Over his years playing Inline, Steve has won 3 straight Inline National Championships with Lethbridge Team Sutter, and also won a Silver Medal with Team Canada in the World Juniors in 2002. His love for Inline ended up taking him to New York, USA for two seasons of instructing and coaching Inline for kids aged 6-16 Since this time he has wanted to bring his love for Inline to the Lethbridge Community and grow that passion once again, Southern Alberta Inline is his way of passing along his love for the sport to kids of all ages in Southern Alberta.
